Bio & Platform…

  • Jordan Baize was born and raised in Muhlenberg County and has never lost sight of the place he calls home. A lifelong member of this community, he believes that local government works best when it puts people first.

Jordan first stepped into public life in 2022, running for Judge-Executive and coming within 201 votes of victory. That experience deepened his resolve to keep serving his neighbors. Since then, he has stayed engaged in building a stronger, more unified Muhlenberg — helping lead the Better Together community worship services, mentoring young leaders, leading The Family Band (the Christian music group) and serving in roles such as president of Health First – health clinics intended to care for rural, underserved populations.

Jordan’s motivation for seeking office is simple: he loves his home and wants to see it led well. He firmly believes county leadership should be caring, approachable, and focused on the people — qualities he finds missing in local government today. His approach to public service is rooted in common-sense solutions, transparency, and respect for every resident.

At heart, Jordan is a devoted husband to his best friend Megan and a father of six. His Christian faith continues to shape his commitment to serving others. Music remains a creative outlet — one that has even taken him to the stage of the Grand Ole Opry — but his greatest passion is helping his community thrive.

Jordan Baize is running for Muhlenberg County Judge-Executive to offer responsive, people-focused leadership and to make sure that every resident knows their voice matters and their local government is working for them.

  • Leading Muhlenberg Forward… Together.

Through careful study of data, local needs, and proven best practices, Jordan has identified four key priorities that must guide Muhlenberg County’s path forward. These priorities focus on strengthening our foundations, creating opportunity, and ensuring that every resident feels heard and supported. They are:

    1. Jobs & Economic Opportunity

    • Support Local Businesses: Cut unnecessary red tape and provide county-level resources that help small businesses start, grow, and thrive.

    • Diversify Industry: Recruit employers in sectors like light manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare that can bring good jobs and stable growth.

    • Career Readiness and Retraining: Strengthen partnerships with Madisonville Community College and local schools to prepare students and adults for success — from college-bound programs to trade skills and technical careers.

    2. Housing & Growth

    • Expand Affordable and Workforce Housing: Partner with developers and local stakeholders to increase housing options that attract young families, professionals, and skilled workers.

    • Revitalize Aging Properties: Support renovation and repurposing of vacant and underused properties in our towns and rural communities.

    • Grow the County’s Population: Use housing expansion as a tool to boost school enrollment, expand the local workforce, and stimulate economic activity.

    3. Infrastructure That Works

    • Improve Roads and Basic Services: Prioritize repairs with a transparent schedule and plan for long-term maintenance.

    • Modernize Waste Management: Address long-standing complaints about sanitation, recycling, and outdated solutions.

    • Insure County-Wide High-Speed Internet: Make reliable broadband access available to every home and business in Muhlenberg County, ensuring that rural areas are no longer left behind.

    • Plan for the Future: Develop strategic, forward-looking plans for utilities, water and sewer capacity, and long-term infrastructure growth.

    4. Recruitment & Retention

    • Invest in Quality of Life: Maintain and improve parks, public spaces, and recreation areas that make Muhlenberg a great place to live.

    • Promote Local Events and Culture: Support festivals, community gatherings, and local traditions that strengthen pride and belonging.

    • Attract and Keep Families: Build a county that offers opportunity for young people to stay, work, and raise families, rather than leaving for opportunities elsewhere.

    • Encourage Collaboration: Partner with schools, businesses, and civic groups to foster community engagement and long-term connection to Muhlenberg County.

  • Just a few years ago, neighboring counties like Ohio and Butler lagged behind Muhlenberg by nearly every measure. Today, those same communities are growing — adding jobs, housing, and infrastructure at a pace that far outpaces our own. Meanwhile, Muhlenberg’s population has declined, and local job numbers have been trending downward for decades.

But we can right the ship. We want our children to inherit a county where they can live, work, and raise their families — a county that’s growing stronger, not smaller. It’s time for Muhlenberg County to have the kind of leadership that brings together its countless wonderful resources so we can achieve the success that’s possible.
